ATLANTA, GA — MELT Food, the chef and culinary marketing arm of MELT, the award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing firm, partner Chris Hastings, prepared dinner Monday night at his restaurant Ovenbird in Birmingham night for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan.
Zuckerberg and Ms. Chan were in Birmingham as part of their tour of southern states in their quest to get out and explore local communities, including several in Alabama. At the end of their day Monday they chose Ovenbird for a quiet date night and Chef Hastings was more than happy to oblige.
“I’m honored that Mark and Priscilla chose Ovenbird for their dining and culinary experience during their stay in Birmingham,” said Hastings. “They were great customers, treated everyone with respect and seemed to thoroughly enjoy their meal.”
This week and upcoming weekend will be busy for both Chef Hastings and his MELT Food partners MELT CEO Vince Thompson and MELT President Michelle Grech. The trio was in Phoenix planning for the inaugural “Taste of The Tournament” in conjunction with the upcoming NCAA Men’s Final Four and will be in Miami this weekend activating with several clients at the annual South Beach Food & Wine Festival. It’s a continuing part of their strategy of assisting MELT clients expand into the world of chef and culinary marketing.
