ATLANTA, GA. — MELT (www.meltatl.com), the award-winning sports, culinary and entertainment agency, announced today that its Founder and CEO Vince Thompson will participate in today’s East Lake Foundation Hewlett Packard Enterprise Career Day at The Drew Charter School. The Charles R. Drew Charter School opened in 2000 as the City of Atlanta’s first public charter school. It currently serves more than 1,800 students in the Pre-K through 12th grade and is an integral part of the holistic neighborhood revitalization led by The East Lake Foundation, The East Lake Golf Club, Cousins Properties Chairman Tom Cousins and The annual Tour Championship presented by The Coca-Cola Company and The Southern Company.

Other speakers today include executives from Chick-Fil-A, Parker Executive Search, Georgia Tech, Octagon, Jackson Spalding, Facebook, Sharecare, Charles Schwab, Suntrust, BB&T, The Golden State Warriors and The Atlanta Dream. Thompson will focus on career development opportunities for rising juniors and seniors of The Drew Charter School and he will also discuss the highly-acclaimed MELT University which this past summer graduated, with distinction, 37 students from 25 colleges and universities. DCS students will learn about the value of real-world internships, how to apply and tips for securing internship programs. Thompson developed MELT University as a result of his experience of working his way through Auburn University as a student assistant in The Auburn Sports Information Department.

“Im honored to be participating with The Drew Charter School, their mission, Hewlett Packard, The East Lake Foundation, The East Lake Gold Club and The Tour Championship,” said Thompson. “It’s all of our duty and responsibility to help the next generation of leaders and I’m proud to be a part of that mission.”
