ATLANTA, Ga. — Vince Thompson, Founder/Chairman/CEO of MELT, the award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing agency, will give a major speech Friday to The Business Connect Group of The Buckhead Club. The Business Connect Group serves as a business organization within The Buckhead Club designed to be a facilitator of new business opportunities within the organization and the City of Atlanta. Atlanta is the first city in history to serve as back-to-back-to-back hosts of the College Football Championship in 2018; the Super Bowl in 2019 and the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2020.

Thompson will address the group on the economic impact of these events and the new business and revenue opportunities these events can and will create for all Atlanta Metro businesses. These could include lodging, rental cars, restaurants, catering, staging, sound, lighting, printing and all forms of new business and revenue opportunities that these major events can bring to a city. Also, each event needs at least 2,000 volunteers and each of those volunteer opportunities present great networking chances as well.

The collective estimated economic impact for all three of these events is well over a BILLION dollars and could be even as high as 1.5 BILLION dollars. Thompson says within that number are so many nuggets of opportunity for businesses all over the Atlanta metro area.

“The City of Atlanta, its leadership and the development of the new Mercedes-Benz Dome are the primary drivers for these golden opportunities,” said Thompson. “It’s a tribute to the progressive vision and leadership of the city that all of these visions are coming together for a massive collective reality. MELT is glad to even be a small part of the process and being involved with these great leaders and great events.”
