Atlanta ,GA; November 10, 2017; MELT (www.meltatl.com) the award-winning sports, entertainment, and culinary marketing agency is invading the Plains of Auburn University and giving Auburn students a War Eagle eye view of the SEC Nation and the Holiday Inn Express activation experience.

Auburn Professor Ric Smith and his television broadcasting class are getting a tour of the SEC Nation set, and an up close and personal view of how a network broadcast is written, produced, and presented on national television, along with how the world of sports marketing works behind-the-scenes to shine a bright spot light on a sponsor’s products and services.

It is a homecoming for MELT Founder and CEO Vince Thompson, who graduated from Auburn University in 1984 with a BA in Communications. While there he worked as a Student Assistant in the Sports Information Department covering Bo Jackson and Charles Barkley. He was also a Sports Editor of The Auburn Plainsman, the campus newspaper.

It was these career shaping experiences that led Thompson to form MELT University, an intern program that provides invaluable experience for current college students and recent college graduates to explore various facets of the sports marketing industry.

Recent MELT University graduate Ellis Baxter is one of the recent success stories moving from intern to a member of the MELT Social Media Team. Current Auburn student Tristan Watson was a MELT University intern in 2016, was brought back as a group leader in 2017 and will join MELT full time upon graduation in May of 2018.
