Stevie winners will be presented with their awards on June 20 in New York

Atlanta, GA – MELT (meltatl.com), the Atlanta-based Sports, Entertainment and Culinary Marketing Firm, was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Marketing/Advertising Agency of the Year category in The 15th Annual American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20. Tickets are now on sale.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others.  MELT was nominated in the Marketing/Advertising Agency of the Year category.

The submission highlighted some of MELT’s best and proudest work including their including their 17-year representation of The Coca-Cola Company, their activation of their 15th straight NCAA MENS March Madness and NCAA Final 4, their 4th straight season of ESPN College Game Day and the inaugural Taste of the Tournament featuring Coca-Cola, Hershey’s, Mondelez and Kroger in conjunction with the recent Final 4 in Phoenix.

Other major account victories and assignments included The Intercontinental Hotel Group and their Holiday Inn Express brands initial sponsorship of SEC Football with the innovative Pancake Selfie Express; Gildan Apparel’s 4th year of sponsorship of The Gildan New Mexico Bowl and major sponsorships of Blake Shelton and his 40-city tour; Popeye’s sponsorship of The Popeye’s Bahamas Bowl; Kia Automotive’s sponsorship of The Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl; a new assignment for the launch of Sprite Cherry and Sprite Cherry Zero in conjunction with The 2017 NBA All-Star game. Further, partnerships and activations with clients POWERADE, Core Power, Reese’s Senior Bowl, Morgan Stanley, Georgia Crown, Georgia Lottery and Thompson Tractor.

Among the judges notes was this comment on MELT’s submission: “2016 appears to have been another tremendous year for MELT whose list of clients is truly impressive. While the experiences MELT delivered for its customers are inspirational we must take in to account how many of these relationships have been built over time and not just achieved/delivered in 2016. This is both worthy of recognition but also a challenge when assessing the agency’s performance for just 2016. Overall, we continue to be impressed with MELT’s work and their strong relationships with their clients in an era where agencies are changed frequently by major brands.”

More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

“Each year the judges find the quality and variety of the nominations to be greater than the year before. The 2017 competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
