ATLANTA, GA— MELT (www.meltatl.com), the award-winning sports, culinary and entertainment marketing agency is thrilled to welcome 32 of the the nation’s top students from several universities for an 8-week summer internship program.

Today kicks off the 12th year of MELT’s nationally-acclaimed summer internship program, MELT University (MELT U). MELT U’s mission is simple; give current undergraduate and graduate students a first-hand experience evaluating and optimizing marketing sponsorship and brand activation with the sports marketing industry; areas include Experiential Marketing, Account Teams, Digital & Social Media, Creative and Branded Content Production. Our MELT U course allows our interns to gain valuable insight and the opportunity to rub shoulders with the best and brightest within the industry.

A new addition to the coveted program is the position of Student Intern Coordinators. The Student Intern Coordinators will oversee the day-to-day operations of the program in conjunction with the MELT Intern Committee. The Class of 2017 Student Intern Coordinators are Tristan Watson from Auburn University and Estée Parks from Notre Dame. Tristan and Estée return to MELT U after successfully graduating from last summer’s program.

This year, 32 interns will gain valuable experience from MELT training, industry leader keynote speeches given by executives from The Coca-Cola Company, Home Depot, College Football Hall of Fame; independent research; on-site field study; field trips consisting of visits to Suntrust Park, College Football Hall of Fame and World of Coca-Cola. During their time at MELT U, they will work within their teams to prepare a Capstone Report that will merge their knowledge on what matters most in the eyes of millennials regarding brand activation & sponsorships and what will drive purchase intent.

Alumni from MELT University include current MELT staff members such as Senior Account Executives, Gigi Gonzalez and Claire Ellender; Digital Media Producer, Eric McCoy; Account Executive, Darbi Lou Todd; Graphic Designer, Hailey Curtis; Associate Account Executives Margaret Worrell and Claire Miller.

Other notable MELT U alumni are staffed across the nation at organizations such as the Denver Broncos and CAA.
