Class of 2016
Olivia Dixon is a graduate from the University of Alabama. She was a double major in Marketing and Telecommunications and Film with a concentration in news. As a student at Bama she had the opportunity to work for the greatest college football program in the nation as a Recruiting Operations intern. She assisted in logistics of on-campus football recruiting events and from time to time walked down the same halls as Coach Saban. She also had the opportunity to intern for Atlanta based company UP TV and ASPiRE TV during the summer of 2012. While with UP TV and ASPiRE TV she worked on projects with the PR/Marketing team, by assisting a red carpet event attended by over 400 people including local and national press. Olivia has a passion for sports and entertainment with dreams of opening up her own Public Relations Firm one day.
Caden Hoffman is a rising senior at Auburn University. The 21 year-old Birmingham, AL native is majoring in Business Management. While at Auburn, Caden is a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, an IMPACT volunteer and a Habitat for Humanity Volunteer. The hardworking, outgoing and organized senior was also a member of the 2013 Auburn Tigers football team.
Macey joins MELT U as a student at the University of Alabama. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Macey’s most courageous step in life thus far has been to leave home and attend school not knowing a single person. Making the best of the situation, she made some great friends along the way and stuck to her hometown roots. Growing up playing sports, Macey formed a deep love so becoming a sports marketing intern at the university was an easy decision.
All of those things combined, Macey knew this would be an area she would love to pursue. Currently studying Marketing coupled with a Public Relations minor, Macey is excited to see where this journey takes me and hopes that everything she does turns into a great adventure.
Jessi Lippman is a South Florida native, currently getting ready for her senior year at the University of Alabama. An Exercise and Sport Science major, with a concentration in business is her focus in the classroom while working out, watching the Crimson Tide, Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat play are her passion outside of the classroom.
Shannon MacLean is a recent graduate from the University of West Georgia. While at UWG, she enjoyed playing soccer for the UWG Women’s team, participating in on-campus activities, and working towards her BA in Psychology. She loves sea turtles and everything beach-related. In her free time, she likes to be with family and friends, while continuing to create new adventures every day. Shannon is thrilled to utilize her health/sports and creative family background as the backbone in propelling her forward in the MELT U internship program.
Grant Maddock, Division I athlete and overall team player. Grant is a native Philadelphian who has travelled to over 21 countries and counting. When he is not travelling the world, Grant spends his free time wakeboarding and rowing. An avid animal lover who enjoys investing in the market.
Taylor McManus is a current student at Marist School in Atlanta where she is a rising senior. Originally a Mesa, Arizona native, Taylor has been a resident of the state of Georgia since 2001 and has lived in the Atlanta area for the past 3 years. Taylor currently holds a 3.75 GPA as she heads into her junior year. She was inducted into the Latin Honor Society and National Honor Society, as well as being named on the Honor Roll for 8 out of 9 semesters.
Along with excelling academically, Taylor has played soccer for not only Marist School but also for a traveling team in Savannah and Atlanta. Along with sports, she has traveled to Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia for a school-sponsored Holocaust Education trip. In her free time, she enjoys weight training and running for exercise.
CLAIRE OLIVIA MILLER
Claire is a Kennesaw, Georgia native currently attending the University of Georgia. As a rising senior, she is concentrating in Marketing with a digital coursework emphasis. Claire is an avid lover of the Braves and has wanted to be a Georgia Bulldawg since birth. At school, Claire is heavily involved with an on-campus philanthropy, UGA HEROs and is a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, national marketing and sales fraternity. As a former Finance major, Claire quickly learned that she wanted to pursue a field in which she can be creative and innovative, making Marketing the perfect fit. Claire enjoys exploring record stores, breweries and restaurants around the city in her free time.
Claire is excited to participate in MELT U this summer because of the opportunity to see industry at work in the real world, help with ongoing projects and meet some awesome members of the team. #Meltstrong #GoDawgs
Quinn Mohan is a rising senior at LSU, majoring in Marketing with a Sales concentration. Quinn was born and raised in Atlanta and graduated from Marist School in 2013. Quinn’s prior work experience mostly involved manual labor, so he is looking forward to staying out of the sun and working in an office setting for the first time this summer.
Through his MELT U internship, Quinn hopes to gain valuable real world marketing experience and learn what it takes to be a professional. Upon graduation, his dream is to work for a professional sports team in some capacity. Sports have always played a large role in Quinn’s life through both playing and watching sports. Ever since he can remember, some of his fondest memories from his childhood have originated from sports.
Megan is a full-time student at Auburn University studying Hotel & Restaurant Management. She is a certified Junior Culinarian and is ServSafe certified. Megan’s previous work experience includes event planning for the non-profit Everybody Wins Atlanta!, positions in restaurants and catering, and coaching and coordinating swim teams. Megan just returned from a semester abroad studying in Ireland at the Dublin Institute of Technology. In her free time, Megan enjoys swimming, traveling and spending time with her two little sisters. Megan also is a member of Tiger Splashers the official Hostesses of the Auburn University Swimming and Diving Team. After graduation Megan hopes for a career in Event Management.
In May of this year, Estée graduated high school from The Lovett School in Atlanta. Next fall, she will be attending the University of Notre Dame to study business. This is Estée’s second summer interning at MELT and she had an amazing experience last summer. Her internship at MELT as well as an internship with Adidas International Training Program the summer going into her sophomore year of high school reinforced her interest in the sports marketing industry. Ever since she was very little, Estée has been a major sports fan. One of her favorite things to do is watch College and NFL football in the fall, so she can’t wait to watch the Notre Dame football team play next year! Estée strapped on her first pair of soccer cleats when she was 6 years old and hasn’t stopped playing since. She’s been a part of 2 state championships with her club Tophat Soccer, won Southeastern Regional championship with the same team, and Co-captained her Lovett High School team to a AA state championship this spring.
Just Your Average Beautiful Crazie. A suburban girl who learned to deal with life through the magic of camera editing. Savanna’s, otherwise known as Savvi Ray, bubbly personality and optimistic outlook on life might seem a bit weird at first, but an hour with her will make your cheeks rise. This oreo cookie has a voice that can kill, a body that can shake and the drive of a roaring lion.
Based in southern metro Atlanta, Savanna’s mission in life is to inspire artist to create Create CREATE. Wanting to create herself, she attends school to study film, photography, acting, and graphic design. One might say she’s a quadruple threat. Previously seen creating promotional events for the non-profit organization Showcase Group, you can now find her creating work for MeltATL. However, in her down time, you can find her prancing the streets of ATL filming her next YouTube video.
A native of San Antonio, Samantha ‘Sami’ Rosenblatt bleeds black and silver for Spurs basketball. Currently a student at Pitzer College in Claremont, California, Sami has a focused combination of Political Science, Organizational Management and Crisis Management. Outside of class, Sami is a founding member of an Environment Education Club focusing on providing sustainable programming for lower income California public schools. She claims “conversational” fluency in both Italian and Hebrew and is an avid reader. Even the World’s Greatest Dog—Darcy—could not escape her love for Jane Austen!
An Atlanta, Georgia native, Aubrey Spraetz is currently a rising senior at Auburn University majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. At Auburn, Aubrey is heavily involved in her sorority, Phi Mu. She served as the assistant Philanthropy Chair last year and is currently serving as the VP of the Public Relations Student Society of Auburn and a currently Lambda Ph Eta member.
During the school year, Aubrey serves as the Social Media Ambassadors and Student Assistant for the College of Science and Mathematics department. After college, Aubrey hopes to pursue a career in marketing.
Joseph Thomas is a Mobile, Alabama native and a 2012 graduate of St. Paul’s Episcopal School. A University of Alabama graduate who majored in Public Relations and minored in Spanish. His journey at Alabama began with studying Broadcast Journalism and Telecommunications to broaden his spectrum in the world of communications.
Fun fact, Joseph and his brother Wesley were both adopted from Asuncion, Paraguay. Joseph loves the outdoors, has a sense of adventure and being an avid explorer. Joseph is a Gulf Coast boy whose heart lies on the water.
Tristan Watson joins MELT U as a rising junior at Auburn University. The 20-year- old, Montgomery, Alabama native is majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. Tristan is immersed in on-campus organizations such as University Program Council, Student Recruiters and Auburn University Dance Marathon, which benefits the Children’s Miracle Network.
In his free time, Tristan enjoys exploring the globe to get a great Instagram photo, finding new events to attend around Auburn’s campus and continuing his quest for finding the perfect slice of pizza.
Lilly Wilbanks, 19 years old from Birmingham, Alabama, currently lives with her family in Atlanta. She attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, from sophomore year to her senior year. She now studies at New York University and spent her first year in Paris, France, with their Freshman abroad program. Lilly is planning on majoring in Global Liberal studies with her concentration on politics, rights, and development. She is also hoping to complete double minors in Finance and French.
Margaret Worrell majored in Production Management at the University of Alabama with a focus on live sports production and as is typical of a graduate of Alabama, Margaret has a huge passion for football and sports. Growing up in Atlanta, her first Braves game in 1993 was also Chipper Jones’ first game. This led to a lifelong dedication to Atlanta sports and a lifelong desire to work in sports, even though the only sport she currently participates in is golfing on the weekends!
