ATLANTA, GA– 37 interns, 25 universities, 60 guest speakers, 2,220 thank you notes, 10 field trips and one major capstone presentation to The Coca-Cola Company later, MELT, (www.meltatl.com), the award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing agency announced today the graduation “with honor” the 2017 Class of MELT University.

The program which ran from June 5- July 28 included a slate of all-star speakers from companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, CBS, ESPN, Fox, TBS, Atlanta Falcons, IMG, Learfield, CAA, Chick-fil-A, Church’s, Popeye’s, Kia and many other world-class organization and companies.
MELT University students were required to write individual handwritten thank you notes to each speaker, totaling to 2,220 notes! Field trips included many of Atlanta’s top sports and entertainment venues that The Coca-Cola Company sponsors including SunTrust Park, The Battery at SunTrust Park, Ponce City Market and many others. The interns assignment was to view Coke’s sponsorship of each venue through the lense of a millennial and write how Coke could evolve their sponsorship to market to their generation. MELT U interns presented their findings to The Coca-Cola Company sports and entertainment marketing teams at The Coca-Cola Company World Headquarters this past Tuesday.
There were also other MELT University success stories this summer including students securing a fall internship at Auburn University and Georgia Tech, there was even a mission trip to Haiti for one student’s clean water initiative.
The only way an entry level executive is hired at MELT is through the MELT University program and there will be several success stories and hires to be announced in the new future.
“I’m so proud of each and every one of these students, their efforts and commitment to excellence, ” said MELT Chairman/CEO Vince Thompson. “We’ve had an amazing summer together and I’ll miss them dearly, but it’s been a blast!”
Spring boarding from the success of the 2017 MELT University summer intern program MELT Chairman/ CEO Vince Thompson announced today that all MELT University interns will for the nucleus of a new national campus ambassador program on 25 campuses nationwide.
Students will gain more real-world experience by serving as social brand ambassadors, speakers, trial, word-of-mouth and research on behalf of MELT and its clients.
