Event Manager



This position will be accountable for the full event life cycle of planning, implementation, execution and reconciliation of large-scale events. The event life cycle can include concepting, briefing/debriefing, project plans, selecting/hiring vendor partners, venue relations, contract negotiations, on site leadership, client management, and project reconciliation.


  • Manage event project details and handle multiple events including concepting, event planning, budgeting, timeline development, execution and recaps
  • Drive client communication and support surrounding events including call reports, event activation overviews and tour routing documentation and event recaps
  • Assist with presentation and budget development to support event experiential concepts
  • Manage the set-up, operation and transportation for all event elements for the activations
  • Assist with asset transportation to and from event site
  • Work with multiple vendors for event execution assets including signage, premiums, and production elements
  • Lead procurement, development and operation for production elements (staging, lighting, sound, power, and structures)
  • Oversee tour footprint and assets including vehicles, routing, and staffing
  • Manage local staff including training and on-site management to provide a first-class event experience
  • Interact with guests, maintain a professional appearance and keep the equipment in a clean and presentable manner at all times
  • Submit all logs, invoices, and receipts in a timely and orderly manner
  • Act as a representative of Melt and the client at all times
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of Melt client and their products and services
  • Client interaction, engagement, and support


  • 2 – 4 years of event and/or account experience in related field, agency background preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and process orientation
  • Understanding of sports and/or even marketing and leveraging assets for programs
  • Experience managing tour assets including vehicles, routing, and staffing
  • Experience in the field executing events from set-up, execution, and breakdown
  • Able to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with short timelines
  • Extensive driving experience and clean driving record required
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required
