Overview

Want to help build a first-of-its-kind live sports experience — from Between the Hedges to iconic stadiums across the country?

MELT is seeking multiple proven Directors / Producers to lead event production and execution for the Topgolf Live Stadium Series Tour — a broad, multi-stop national tour bringing live golf, entertainment and hospitality experiences to college football’s biggest venues throughout the fall — launching at the University of Georgia, with multiple stops and tours within the SEC, the Big 12 and the ACC.

The tour tees off during the University of Georgia’s October bye week, when Topgolf and UGA fan engagement platform Glory Glory will transform Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium into a six-day live golf, entertainment and hospitality experience for Bulldog Nation — with hitting bays, interactive targets, FanFest, food and beverage, Recruiting Lounge experiences and VIP access inside the Georgia Football Locker Room. Each subsequent stop will bring that same experience to a new stadium and a new fan base.

MELT has been named the project’s agency of record for event execution, and we’re building a national bench of seasoned live-event professionals to bring the Stadium Series to life market after market.

This isn’t a role for someone looking to simply execute an existing playbook. You’ll help build the playbook — then run it at national scale.

Each Director / Producer will own event operations for their tour stop(s) from planning and staffing through training, load-in, live execution and load-out — working across MELT, Topgolf, school and fan-engagement partners, vendors and event personnel to deliver each stop safely, seamlessly and to a consistent national standard.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as lead Director / Producer for one or more tour stops, owning event production from planning and pre-production through load-in, live execution and load-out.
  • Build and refine the operational framework required to execute large-scale, first-of-its-kind stadium activations across multiple markets.
  • Hire, onboard, train and manage a large event staff across multiple functional teams in each market.
  • Build and maintain the Run of Show (ROS), Production Book, run sheets, staffing plans, production timelines, training materials and core operational documentation — and help evolve them into the tour’s repeatable playbook.
  • Manage assigned production budgets, vendor scopes, cost tracking and reconciliation, ensuring each stop is delivered on budget and to established production standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate production vendors and resources across areas including staging, AV, power, lighting, fabrication, signage, field-level operations, guest experience, hospitality and other event logistics.
  • Develop and execute staff training to ensure every team member is prepared for live event operations.
  • Develop contingency plans and oversee event readiness, safety protocols and escalation procedures in coordination with venue, university and production partners.
  • Serve as a primary production interface across MELT, Topgolf, host-school partners, venues, vendors and event staff.
  • Lead onsite decision-making and troubleshoot in real time, maintaining operational excellence throughout move-in, event days and move-out.
  • Capture learnings from each stop and help refine systems, processes and production standards for subsequent Stadium Series markets.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of progressive live-event production experience, with demonstrated success serving as the lead producer for large-scale, high-profile events, sports experiences, festivals, touring productions or major experiential activations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, national-caliber live events involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, workstreams and large onsite teams.
  • Proven ability to own event production end to end — from planning, budgeting and staffing through load-in, live execution, troubleshooting and load-out.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring, training and managing 50+ event-day or seasonal staff members.
  • Strong operational and event-logistics expertise, including site operations and guest flow for large audiences.
  • Fluency in live-event production documentation and terminology, including ROS, Production Books, run sheets, staffing plans and production timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant event budgets, vendor relationships and production resources.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical event production, including staging, AV, power, lighting, fabrication, signage and other production infrastructure.
  • Exceptional onsite leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced live environment and under compressed timelines.
  • Strong client- and partner-facing skills, with experience working across venues, brands, agencies, rights holders, vendors and other senior stakeholders.
  • Experience developing scalable systems and processes that can be replicated consistently across multiple markets.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work long and nontraditional hours during active event windows, including evenings and weekends.
  • Sports, stadium/arena, touring or major consumer experiential-event production experience strongly preferred.
  • Former collegiate student-athletes are strongly encouraged to apply. We value the leadership, teamwork, discipline and ability to perform under pressure that come from competitive athletics.

The tour

Topgolf Live Stadium Series | Fall 2026 | College football’s most iconic venues. Tour opener — Sanford Stadium, University of Georgia: October 20–25, 2026.

At each stop, Topgolf Live transforms the stadium into a destination featuring on-field hitting bays and interactive targets, FanFest programming, food and beverage, football viewing on the stadium videoboard, and premium hospitality experiences unique to each venue — at UGA, that means Recruiting Lounge access and a VIP Georgia Football Locker Room experience.

Additional fall 2026 stops and tours within the SEC, the Big 12 and the ACC will be announced — with further opportunities as the Stadium Series expands.

If you know how to build the playbook, lead the team and deliver when the lights come on, we want to hear from you.
