The first week at MELT was great. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. I am working mostly with Travis Rice and occasionally Chris, as well as Austin, who is also an intern. Travis has given me assignments to research different companies to see which one best suits our needs for whatever event we might be planning. After I research these companies I put my information into a PowerPoint presentation and make what is called a deck. A deck is essentially a presentation to pitch an idea to someone. Usually Austin and I will split the work and regroup to compile our information into a deck. The next thing I will be doing soon is going to the warehouse. At the warehouse I will help in ensuring that we have all the necessary supplies for any events that may be coming up.
