Day one of interning at MELT was surreal. I had never imagined an office to be so open and outgoing! The team was welcoming and friendly and all for introducing themselves to me. We even got free Jimmy Johns for lunch with the CEO! I get to work with Matt and Darbi and I couldn’t be more excited to learn about the research and work that they do. I look forward to learning what goes into creating an event, such as College Game Day, and how to create a pitch that wins over a huge beverage company and convinces them to sign on with MELT. I think that interning for MELT is going to provide a great learning environment and it will be a place that gives me better insight into what it means to be in the sports marketing business. My experiences here will hopefully help to confirm my desire to obtain a marketing degree at the University of Kentucky and pursue a career in sports marketing.
