MELT & Auburn University's Tip-Off at Toomer's Corner
ATLANTA, GA - October 17, 2019 - MELT (www.meltatl.com), the Atlanta-based, award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing agency, announced today that MELT and its Founder, Chairman, CEO and Auburn Alumnus Vince Thompson will help produce the first "Tip-Off at Toomer's" to celebrate the start of the 2019-2020 basketball season. The free, open-to-the-public event will begin at 4:00 pm CDT time with a fan fest on the Samford Lawn.
At 6:00 pm CDT The "Jungle Pit" will be open and the first 300 students will receive a free t-shirt upon entry. "Tiger Talk" will also begin its broadcast from the court. At 7:00 pm CDT team introductions will commence and activities including a 3-point shooting contest, a 3v3 contest, and a slam dunk contest. After the events are over, there will be an autograph session for all the fans.
"I'm honored to be a part of this with Coach Pearl, Coach Williams-Flournoy, the teams, the students, the fans, the alumni and the City of Auburn," said Thompson. "This is a historic and festive occasion and my only regret is that Sir Charles Barkley won't be with us, but I spoke to him yesterday and he is certainly there in spirit!"
