ATLANTA — MELT, the Atlanta-based award-winning sports and entertainment marketing firm, announced today that their client Thompson Tractor/Caterpillar captured a bronze award for their “Dig Deep” marketing campaign that Thompson Tractor and MELT developed for their sponsorships of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn University Tigers football programs in 2015.
The campaign, led by Thompson Tractor Chief Marketing Officer Brian Doud and created by MELT, combines the passion for college football in the state of Alabama with the emotion of owning and operating CAT equipment.
One television and digital spot featured legendary Crimson Tide Strength and Conditioning Coach Scott Cochran as he is pushing fans to “Dig Deep on tough football situations such as “4th down and 1.” Likewise, Caterpillar Equipment “Digs Deep” when getting those heavy construction jobs done.
The award was presented by Caterpillar Americas & Europe Distribution/Division at the 2016 Cat Dealer Marketing Conference held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada Sept. 19-22.
