ATLANTA, GA – June 11, 2018 – MELT (www.meltatl.com), the Atlanta-based award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing agency welcomed the 2018 MELT University Summer Internship Class – a group of 34 College and University Students from 23 Schools across the country. Always kicking off with the bang, MELT University, a recent Cynopsis Media Social Good Award Finalist, got started on Monday with the interns arriving into MELT’s newly renovated Buckhead headquarters.
One passion area this summer is MELT’s speaker series – a lineup of which consists of the whos-who of event, experiential, media and sports marketing professionals including marketing professionals from The Coca-Cola Company, Kia Automotive, The Atlanta Braves, The Atlanta Falcons, CBS, ESPN, Ticket Solutions, The University of Alabama, Auburn University, Fox Sports, The Chick-Fil-A Bowl, The American Cancer Society and many others.
This week our interns heard from Jameal Hester from the Coca-Cola company, Davis Epps from the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, Bruce Skala from Hooters, Jon Nelson from Georgia Public Broadcasting, Melvin Lewis from the University of Alabama, Stan Hall of GCVB Infinite Energy Center, and Corey Gibbs from Ticketing Solutions. All facets of MELT U were on display, as students heard from speakers in the sports, entertainment and culinary worlds.
“After such an incredible week, I am even more excited about what’s in store this summer,” said MELT Founder/CEO Vince Thompson. These kids are the best and the brightest and we can’t wait to both teach them and learn from them in the next 8 weeks.
