MELT UNIVERSITY NAMED FINALIST FOR 2018 CYNOPSIS SOCIAL GOOD AWARD

Melt University, the acclaimed summer intern program created by MELT Founder and CEO Vince Thompson in 2005, was named a finalist for the Cynopsis Social Good Award. The award will be presented this morning in New York City and recognizes marketing and media agencies that produce programs that create goodwill in either the marketing industry or community. MELT was also named a finalist for this award in 2014. Because of his experience of working as a student assistant in The Auburn University Sports Information Department, Thompson lectures frequently at college campuses across the county on career growth and development. Through these lectures, MELT University evolved into a world-class intern program that last summer hosted 37 students from colleges and universities from across the country. This summer of 2018, MELT will once again host more than 40 students where they will hear from about 60 guest speakers; take educational field trips and work on real-life event and marketing campaigns. MELT only hires entry-level employees from this group. MELT Intern Director Amanda Tibbetts is in NYC representing MELT and The MELT Team.

Animated characters allowed college football fans to interact with Desmond Howard; Rece Davis; Kirk Herbstreit; Lee Corso and David Pollack and brought Coca-Cola’s sponsorship investment to life through Snapchat and other social media channels. MELT Social Media Executive Jenna Cook is in New York representing MELT for this award.
