The founder of the Hangout Music Festival, Shaul Zislin, remembers his documentary-like story of the 2010 BP oil spill and how he had to pivot his entire business plan.
Shaul Zislin has served as the Owner of “The Hangout” for the past 12 years. He is an alumnus of The University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Zislin and A.J. Nilan founded an annual three-day music festival in 2010 called The Hangout Music Festival, which is held at the public beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
