MELT FOUNDER, CHAIRMAN AND CEO VINCE THOMPSON TO APPEAR TODAY ON PAUL FINEBAUM SHOW AT 4:00 PM EDT TO DISCUSS TODAY’S HISTORIC NCAA DECISION OF A UNANIMOUS VOTE TO PERMIT STUDENT-ATHLETES TO BENEFIT FROM THE USE OF THEIR NAME, IMAGE, AND LIKENESS (NIL)

ATLANTA, GA – October 29, 2019 – MELT (www.meltatl.com), the Atlanta-based, award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing agency announced today that its Founder, Chairman, and CEO Vince Thompson will once again appear on The Paul Finebaum Show today at 4:00 pm EDT to discuss today’s historic NCAA ruling on the use of a student-athletes Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). The NCAA today paved the way for student-athletes to have more control and usage of their NIL than ever before.

Finebaum and Thompson who go back together nearly four decades frequently discuss the business of college athletics on The Paul Finebaum Show and most recently were together in Athens to discuss this hot topic. The topic of NIL has been one of the most debated topics in recent years in college athletics and today’s ruling is seen as a positive step for the NCAA, the colleges and universities and the student-athletes. Lead by California, and followed by other states, legislation was being rapidly being passed to allow student-athletes much greater latitude in usage and control of their NIL.

“This is a historic day for the NCAA, the colleges and universities and most importantly for the student-athletes,” said Thompson, who is a fierce advocate for student-athletes, their rights, and their post-playing-days career development. “I look forward to continuing this dialog with Paul today!”

Finebaum and Thompson can be seen live on SEC Network and heard on Sirius XM Channel 81.
