Atlanta, GA - Gourmet Foods International (GFI), the Atlanta-based national leader in specialty food supplies, and The Roswell Food Group (RFG) announced today it’s exclusive partnership to distribute Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips and Dips.
The gluten-free chips and dip will gain distribution and penetration through grocery deli departments and utilize GFI’s network of food service customers to gain penetration for Foxworthy’s new lines.
GFI President Doug Jay says that combining Jeff Foxworthy’s celebrity firepower with the quality of the product were the prime reasons GFI chose to partner with Foxworthy’s brand. “Since 1967 GFI has helped pioneer and distribute many successful food products, including Stacy’s Pita Chips and we feel like this could be another huge winner.”
Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips is a gluten-free crunchy corn chip made with grits. They’re sold in four flavors, Original, Cheddar, Sweet Heat and Jalapeno & Cheddar. They have only been on the market for 12 months and have already been featured and distributed in stores such as Kroger, Ingles, Food City, Rouses, Bi Lo, Piggly Wiggly and even the Cracker Barrel chain.
“RFG is delighted to partner with a national leader such as GFI,” said RFG President Sean McDonough. “Since late 2012 we’ve gained great distribution and traction, and have been sampled and showcased at top NASCAR races, college football games and other great places. Now our partnership with GFI will really help us scale trial and household penetration.”
GFI will distribute Foxworthy’s Grit Chips and Dips utilizing their five distribution centers and more than 500 employees nationwide.
