ATLANTA, GA — MELT (www.meltatl.com), the Atlanta-based, award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing agency, announced that its Founder and CEO, Vince Thompson, will address the Learfield Licensing Partners meeting today at Emory University Conference Center in Atlanta. The event brings together many of the licensing and collegiate executives from Learfield Sports – the nation’s premier collegiate sports marketing, right-holder and licensing group. Learfield recently announced a merger with IMG College to create a behemoth college sports media company.

Thompson’s topic, the “Three New Truths of College Sports Marketing,” will focus on several new trends emerging in college athletics. Those trends include the role social media companies will play in the college sports rights space; how to evolve the consumer and fan experience at college sports events; how to embrace and market events and properties to the millennial and Generation Z fan and others. Since founding MELT in 2000, Thompson and MELT have been immersed in the business of college sports marketing including their 17-year representation of The Coca-Cola Company; the activation of 15 consecutive Final Fours; the activation of five consecutive seasons of ESPN College GameDay and other activities. MELT also works with many major companies including KIA Automotive; Core Power; POWERADE; Fairlife Milk Company; Gildan Apparel; Morgan Stanley; Caterpillar/Thompson Tractor; Intercontinental Hotel Group, and many others.

Other speakers at the event include Bob Bernard, President/CEO of Learfield Licensing Partners; Jim Smith, SVP of Alumni Relations and President/CEO of The Ohio State University Alumni Association; Ed O’Hara, President/Chief Creative Officer of SME and others.

“I’m very proud and honored to address this prestigious group and represent MELT,” said Thompson. “Learfield is the leader and a great friend and partner on many things we do together in the collegiate sports world and I’m delighted to be sharing ideas together with them.”
