ATLANTA, Ga. – MELT (, the award-winning sports, entertainment and culinary marketing firm Founder and CEO Vince Thompson is set to make his season debut today at 3:30 PM EDT on The Paul Finebaum Show broadcast nationally on the SEC Network and Sirius XM Channel 81. Thompson and Finebaum go back more than three decades as the two met originally in the early 80’s while Finebaum was a rising reporter for The Birmingham Post-Herald and covering The Ken Stabler Football Camp and later when Finebaum was covering Coach Pat Dye and the Auburn beat and Thompson was a student assistant in the Auburn University Sports Information Department.

Thompson, who founded MELT in 2000 and was most recently named 2017 Marketing Agency of The Year by The American Business Awards, will cover a range of topics with Finebaum during the segment including the upcoming Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic Labor Day weekend pitting No. 1 University of Alabama and No. 3 Florida State University. The Saturday September 1 game, the first college football game played in the new Mercedes-Benz Dome, will be televised nationally on ABC; will host ESPN College Game Day and has taken on a Super-Bowl-esque atmosphere not typically seen in Labor Day kickoff games. The pair will discuss the economic impact of the game; the upcoming College Football National Championship to be held in the dome in early-January and the future of the business of college football.

They will also discuss Finebaum’s upcoming SECN series “Homecoming” which will feature Apple CEO Tim Cook, an Auburn graduate and with whom Finebaum has developed a relationship with over the past two years. They will also discuss Finebaum’s recent cover story in industry trade magazine The Sports Business Journal which charts Finebaum’s meteoric rise to the top of opinion makers in the college football world.
