ATLANTA, GA…MELT, the award-winning sports, entertainment, and culinary marketing agency, released today the “Rich Take on Sports” podcast, which features its Founder, Chairman, and CEO Vince Thompson.
“I’m honored to be a part of this podcast and share my story with Rich’s listeners and viewers,” said Thompson.
The podcast chronicles Thompson’s rise from small-town, Lower Alabama roots to owning and running MELT, now one of the leading sports marketing agencies in the country. Including MELT’s 20-year representation of The Coca-Cola Company, the activation of 17 consecutive Final 4s, seven straight seasons of ESPN College GameDay, and many more. In 2018, Thompson was named CEO of The Year by The Atlanta Business Chronicle. Overall, MELT has captured or won more than 40 industry marketing awards. Thompson began his rise as a student assistant in the Auburn University Sports information Department. This experience led Thompson to form MELT University, one of the sports marketing industry’s leading intern programs. This summer, due to COVID-19, MELT has pivoted to virtual MELT University, helping hundreds of college students nationwide in career development and networking in a post-COVID world. MELT U is a series of 50 podcasts from some of the nation’s top sports and marketing industry leaders, including Tracy Wolfson of CBS, Ty Votaw of The PGA TOUR, and many others. Thompson also teaches a weekly live Lunch & Learn webinar from his forthcoming book, “Building Brand You,” which will be released in early-August.
