MELT Signs 7,198 SF Lease at 3630 Peachtree
Marketing firm to expand business, add up to 15 employees with move to Buckhead office tower.
(Atlanta, GA – Nov. 29, 2011) MELT LLC, an Atlanta-based marketing firm, has leased 7,198 square feet of office space at 3630 Peachtree, a joint venture of Duke Realty Corp. (Duke Realty) and Pope & Land Enterprises Inc. MELT will relocate from Tower Place 100 and is expected to take occupancy in the 34-story Buckhead tower by March 1, 2012.
The new lease will provide MELT with 35 percent more office space to accommodate its growing business. The company plans to increase its staff from its current level of 25 employees to a total of 40 employees within a year of moving into 3630 Peachtree.
Howard Boyd of Hailey Realty represented MELT in the transaction. Kerry Armstrong of Duke Realty, and Jackie Gauthreaux and Jennifer Koontz of Pope & Land represented the ownership.
“The move to 3630 Peachtree offers MELT a high-tech infrastructure, wide-ranging amenities and a prime location on Peachtree Road,” said Kerry Armstrong, senior vice president in Duke Realty’s Atlanta office. “We’re pleased to provide MELT high-quality space that will allow the company to continue its growth.”
Vince Thompson, president and CEO of MELT, said the lease will enable the company to keep its optimal Buckhead location in an area with less traffic congestion than the Peachtree Road corridor south of Lenox Road.
“We’ve outgrown our current space, and this building gives us ample room to expand in a state-of-the-art building where we can attract top talent. We’ll be designing the space to fit our needs,” Thompson said. “With this move, we’ll be able to start the next chapter of our story.”
He said the company also appreciates the building’s onsite dining options, including the café and recently opened Tomo Japanese Restaurant. In addition, F&B Restaurant, specializing in French and Mediterranean cuisine, is scheduled to open in February 2012. The building’s amenities also include Ritz-Carlton services, a fitness center, adjoining day care, dry cleaning services and MARTA shuttles.
MELT will join a 3630 Peachtree tenant roster that includes JWT, Windham Brannan, Teavana and AloStar Bank.
The office portion of 3630 Peachtree, floors 2 to 17, is a joint-venture development of Duke Realty and Pope & Land Enterprises. Post Properties and Novare Group are the developers of the residential section of the building, The Ritz-Carlton Residences Atlanta, Buckhead, occupying floors 18 to 34.
